Recently, the "Sunset Companion" elderly care service station was officially launched in the Baima Community of Lijia Street, Liangjiang New District. Notaries Chen Li and Chen Lizhu of the Liangjiang Notary Office visited the homes of elderly residents in the area, delivering relief supplies and providing free legal consultation, legal aid, and other services.

"We can seek help right at our doorstep, free of charge. Thank you," said the elderly residents of the Baima Community to the notaries at the station.

Having access to the elderly care services they need right at their doorstep is a dream of many elderly people. Elderly people make up 22.55% of the registered population in the Baima Community, and the aging population is a significant issue. To address this, the Liangjiang Notary Office and the Baima Community jointly established the "Sunset Companion" elderly care service station, providing high-quality and convenient legal services to the elderly and building an integrated platform for resolving conflicts and disputes.

Since its launch, the workstation has conducted regular monthly visits to 16 elderly residents living alone within its jurisdiction. It also organizes quarterly legal lectures on topics relevant to the senior population, such as wills, gifts, inheritance, and voluntary guardianship. It also provides convenient and efficient one-on-one legal consultation services to those in need.

"We hope this initiative will bring notarial legal services closer to the elderly and demonstrate Liangjiang Notary's commitment to serving the people," said Tu Zhihui, Director of the Liangjiang Notary Office. Moving forward, the Liangjiang Notary Office and the Baima Community will collaborate on a specialized service model that combines "one-on-one," "many-on-one," and "regular and on-demand services" to strengthen special care for empty-nest elderly, the elderly living alone, and those facing difficulties, contributing to the development of an elderly-friendly community in the Liangjiang New Area.

Since launching the "Community Notary" initiative in 2020, the Liangjiang Notary Office has launched specialized legal services such as "Lobby Assistant," "Thursday Studio," and "Legal Home."
