"The 'Lvmei Community Home Elderly Care Service Center' is right behind my house. After the renovation, it's beautiful. Most importantly, it offers a variety of home services for seniors, so I can rest assured that I can care for myself at home!" said an elderly woman.

This elderly care service center is located at Building 8, Lane 285, Xinling Road, Xinzhuang Town, Minhang District. Before the renovation, it was a day care center for the elderly. Now, it's the "Lvmei Community Home Elderly Care Service Center."

The new center has a total floor area of 600 square meters, with nearly 300 square meters of activity space. According to the design, in addition to focusing on the daily care, social interaction, cultural entertainment, and spiritual comfort needs of community seniors, the center has added more community open days, interest classes, and home services, striving to create a new "small but excellent" elderly care service platform.

"Compared to the previous center, the new center has a clearer functional layout and offers more elderly-friendly services," said Ji Kaiping, who works at the Lvmei Community Home Elderly Care Service Center. To promote a balanced layout of embedded elderly care facilities within the community and achieve a "15-minute service circle" where elderly care facilities and services are readily accessible, Xinzhuang Town has improved the functional layout and expanded its service offerings within the daycare center, renovating it into the "Lvmei Community Home-Based Elderly Care Service Center."

Notably, this upgrade and renovation has also significantly beautified the surrounding environment of the elderly care service center. Approaching the Lvmei Community Home-Based Elderly Care Service Center, one is greeted by childlike artwork everywhere, including mazes, footprints, and green plum blossoms on the floor. The chairs and walls also feature numerous colorful paintings, created collaboratively by staff and elderly residents.

The "Lvmei Community Home-Based Elderly Care Service Center" is functionally divided into a central building, a first floor, and a second floor. The central building houses a micro-exhibition hall, micro-meal assistance, micro-consulting services, and a long-term care insurance nursing station. The first floor houses the elderly day care center, featuring a nutrition room, lounge, multi-purpose room, and assisted bathroom, specifically designed for elderly residents in day care.
